AnywheresFine ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the AnywheresFine mobile app, how we use it, and your choices.

We collect only what's necessary to provide the service:
- Account information — your email address and a hashed (unreadable) password when you register.
- Event data — event names, dates, locations (text you enter, not GPS coordinates), and search terms you create.
- Votes — your yes/no votes on places within events you participate in.
- Friends — email addresses of people you add as friends or invite to events.
We do not collect your precise GPS location, contacts, photos, or any other device data.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account.
- To operate the event and voting features of the app.
- To allow friends to find and invite you to events by email.
- To improve reliability and fix bugs (server logs).
We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except in these limited cases:
- Other users — your display name (email) is visible to friends and other event participants you interact with.
- Infrastructure providers — we host the app on Amazon Web Services (AWS). They process data only as necessary to run our servers.
- Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect the safety of users.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below.
5. Security
Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. We take reasonable precautions to protect your data, though no system is completely secure.
6. Children's Privacy
AnywheresFine is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us.

- Request correction of inaccurate data.
